Energy solutions during load shedding in India

At this point, agencies that are typically marketing regular power inverters are now offering up solar powered inverters that would be adequate enough to power one light source and a fan.

Though, the issue now is, the legitimacy of some business merchants trying to sell their products. Some sources have stated to beware.

Buyers should be wary of such cheap options as they may not meet their

requirements,” says a representative of an agency dealing in UPS systems.

When each resident is considering their energy options, they need to keep in mind their specific needs verses the needs of the equipment and the power it would supply. Not everyone's needs are the same, and need to be careful as to not purchase something that would not meet their requirements of the household. Though typically, most households require 600 watts of solar power, the situation still can vary.

Load shedding by definition is when the consumers demands for power in their households exceeds what the power company can supply and thus demands are made upon the user to find other means to power their home. It is typically a last resort act taken upon the community when other options are exhausted. Load shedding is a means by controlling the power being channeled to it's consumers in order of priority. It's also an effective means to avoid blackouts which can cause an unnecessary balance to the system and avoiding a collapse.
